This is an abstraction of a photo taken in Times Square in Manhattan. I pulled parts of the photo onto a black background in Photoshop and had it printed on canvas. It measures 20×30 inches and sells for $185.

Most unusual Times Square abstraction – normally photos with a lot of flashy, colorful lights and text advertising the latest fashions, electronics, and entertainment capture what it is to be in midtown Manhattan. This composition emphasizes the urban landscape in any metropolitan area – the skyscraper grid, the street lights, and reflections shimmering on the windows. Not sure I would have guessed Times Square without your commentary.

Thanks very much for your supportive reflection on my work. I enjoy converting some of the normal into something unusual such as this piece. The series on bridges is also similar to that.
