Two dimensional painting and three dimensional mixed media continue to fascinate me. Each has its particular systems in which to explore possible paths to the finished piece. It’s healthy to make mistakes in art. Mistakes are my sign posts to places I want to go but can’t yet reach. Mistakes feel uncomfortable at first, but if I am making mistakes, I know art will be an adventure.

“Mistakes feel uncomfortable at first, but if I am making mistakes, I know art will be an adventure.” Such encouraging words as I struggle with each new image. I’m especially inspired by the Woman with Unexpected Gumption. May we all find that gumption when we need it. Thank you!
These are beautiful pieces. And they are a double delight. When I look at them my aesthetic sense is tickled, my eyes are so happily engaged, and at the same time my cognitive sense is very triggered. You tackle such universal issues in such unique ways with beautiful color and shape.
You are always very creative in whatever approach you take be it a painting or a sculpture.
